Hassim DialloMBA

Associate Finance Project Manager, JPMorgan Chase & Co.

I find the real problem inside a complex finance change, then get the right people to fix it.

Ten years in financial services, split between Financial Control and finance project delivery. I lead legal entity strategy, market expansion, liquidity transformation, billing, and automation work, and I am usually the person brought in when accounts, data, and ownership do not line up.

Where I lead

Five areas of ownership

Each one sits where product change, technology delivery, and financial control meet. That is where most finance transformations get stuck, and where I spend my time.

Legal Entity Strategy

Moving businesses between legal entities without breaking the ledger.

  • Brussels PU Flip, Paris PU Swap
  • Madrid and Milan analysis and cleanup
  • Reference data, reconciliation, cutover

Market Expansion

Getting accounts, schemas, and ownership defined before a new market goes live.

  • Turkey GL and schema requirements
  • UCOA, reporting, reconciliation ownership
  • Account setup and development readiness

Liquidity Transformation

Finance design for liquidity and payments products across regions.

  • U.S. and EMEA/APAC Notional Pooling
  • US RTP and Embedded Banking & Payments
  • U.S. Multicurrency Model Bank (RMB)

Billing

Accurate billing entries with fewer manual steps and tighter controls.

  • Liink Billing journal automation
  • Treasury Services billing GL sign-off
  • Money market fund GL changes

Automation & Innovation

Replacing manual work with controlled, repeatable processes.

  • Alteryx server migrations
  • JPM Coin blockchain-to-ledger reconciliation
  • Deposit Tokens and Kinexys finance review

Controls & Delivery

Testing and sign-off that catch problems before they post.

  • UAT and regression testing
  • BRDs, impact assessments, runbooks
  • Financial Control sign-off
Case studies

Problems I found, and how they were solved

Six situations where the first obvious answer was not enough. Each shows the problem, what I did, and what changed.

Data risk

The missing client records

~2,000 clientsabout $43B of potential suspense exposure avoided

The problem. During a U.S. investment sweeps migration, client master data was missing for roughly 2,000 clients. If the migration had gone ahead, postings would have failed or landed in suspense.

What I did. I raised the gap early, worked out which records were affected, and pulled Product, SAP, Party Central, and Operations into the same discussion so the records could be restored.

Result. The missing records were addressed before they could turn into downstream posting errors.

Legal entity strategy

Madrid and Milan balance sheet cleanup

50,000 → 214items narrowed to controller-ready candidates

The problem. Before the legal entity transition, the Madrid and Milan balance sheets carried a large volume of old items. Nobody had a clear view of which ones could be cleaned up and which had restrictions.

What I did. I reviewed about 50,000 items and sorted the 214 cleanup candidates by treatment: reclassification, restricted income attribution, or confirmation needed. I then took the list to the controllers and led the cleanup of 15K+ balance sheet lines.

Result. Controllers received a short, categorized list to act on, and I caught a major mapping error before it posted.

Legal entity strategy

Brussels and Paris legal entity moves

300+ GL accountscreated for Paris, with ownership mapped

The problem. The post-Brexit EMEA realignment required moving businesses into new entities while keeping ledgers, reference data, and reconciliations intact.

What I did. I delivered the Brussels PU Flip end to end and led the Paris PU Swap from the Financial Control side. For Paris I facilitated the creation of 300+ GL accounts and built the ownership mapping, then supported migration-weekend entries and validation.

Result. Both moves were delivered, and I later led the Madrid and Milan analysis and cleanup.

Market expansion

Brazil cash model and Turkey account design

Peer awardfor expertise and guidance on the Brazil program

The problem. On the Brazil cash model, iDDA-to-GL mapping, suspense, and self-balancing accounts were unresolved. Turkey had open GL and accounting schema questions that blocked development.

What I did. I hosted the working sessions, put each open question in front of the person who owned the answer, and documented the UCOA, ownership, reconciliation, and reporting data Finance needed.

Result. Brazil moved forward and earned a peer award. Turkey's account setup could progress once the requirements were written down.

Innovation & automation

Reconciling a blockchain to the ledger

JPM Coinautomated blockchain-to-ledger reconciliation

The problem. JPM Coin needed a dependable way to prove that activity on the blockchain matched the books.

What I did. I volunteered to build the Alteryx reconciliation between the blockchain and the ledger. I later built a second one for iDDA Branch 317, where activity was not feeding through GLASS. I also own the wider move of manual processes onto the Alteryx server to close control gaps.

Result. The reconciliation work reduced manual effort and added control checks. Related work automating Liink Billing journal entries produced a documented two-hour time saving.

Financial Control

Liquidity processing and the SAP re-direct

98% STP800 hours saved per year

The problem. The North America liquidity balance sheet depended on product processor flows that needed to run more reliably, and ledger platforms differed across regions.

What I did. As Senior Financial Controller, I optimized straight-through processing in two product processors, worked with the PMO on an SAP re-direct, and built reconciliation models for U.S. Investment Sweeps across North America and EMEA.

Result. Success rate reached 98%, three legacy platforms were retired, and $64M in deposits interest expense was substantiated within six months.

How I work

A consistent way of solving complex problems

The pattern repeats across every case study above.

Find the real issue

Trace a symptom back to its source: a missing record, an unowned account, a mapping that does not hold.

Get the right people in the room

Finance, Product, Technology, and Operations each see part of it. I run the session that puts the parts together.

Write it down and test it

Requirements, ownership, and test cases go on paper. UAT catches what a review would miss.

Automate what repeats

If a fix needs doing twice, it moves into a controlled, automated process.
